Blu, also known by his birth name jaziyyah [pronounced JUH-ZY-YUH], is a 23 year old Writer, Poet, and Spoken Word Artist. He hails from Smithfield, Virginia by way of Cincinnati, Ohio and is a proud Howard University Graduate.

Blu has featured with the likes of Esquire Network, Thurgood Marshall College Fund, Busboys and Poets, PurePoetryLive, Trap Poetry, The NAACP, True Religion, and went viral as an official Orator of the Howard University School of Business Graduation. He has performed in front of stars such as Tuma Basa, IDK, YungChris, Angela Bassett and Tina Knowles. He’s shared stages with K Love The Poet, Jean Deaux, Edwin Bodney, Matthew Cuban, J Ivy, Queen Sheba, Aja Monet, and more! Blu is the published author of a poetry book titled “orchids&blus” [pronounced “OR-KIDS and BLUES”] which released  in May of 2022 through New Degree Press.

Blu currently resides in Los Angeles, California where he works at Amazon Ads as an Account Executive, as one of the Volunteers and Open Mic Host for Radical Hood Library, and is currently working on his next full-length manuscript and first chapbook.
